The Mystical Path and Our Purpose
Our Web site, The Mystical Path, is dedicated to the introduction and promotion of contemporary mysticism in a pure and authentic form, as distinguished from the many pseudo-mystical or faddish “new age” teachings being promoted in the marketplace of ideas that is the world.
The Mystical Path is committed to sharing and presenting only the finest, purest mystical teachings and Truth principles which adhere to nondualist oneness. In this regard, we value and observe the practice of spiritual discernment to keep clear of the pitfalls of religious dogma and metaphysical error and avoid becoming a blind guide to others.
Jesus replied, “Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be uprooted, so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.”

We recognize that the realization of oneness (or Truth) and spiritual illumination are attained only through a process of mystical transformation in the individual’s awareness and life. We know that this inner transformation in consciousness can be accomplished through the activity of an inner grace which enables a person to undertake the spiritual journey along the mystical path of life.
Contemplative Pathways and Our Work
To this end, we serve humanity through our vehicle for spiritual service, Contemplative Pathways. Through our service and the activities we undertake, we enable others to embark on the spiritual journey by learning the Truth teaching and living the mystical life.
Our work is rooted mainly in the message of The Infinite Way by Joel S. Goldsmith. (You can read more about Joel Goldsmith and The Infinite Way at our “Resources” page.) Our mystical teachings are cross-cultural and at the same time transcultural, like a threaded needle weaving through the fabrics of Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Taoism, the mystery schools, esoteric systems of spirituality, modern science, and other repositories of mysticism and the “perennial philosophy” of mankind, to form a single tapestry of spirituality. Our service transcends boundaries of religion, culture, tradition, denomination, affiliation, and other distinctions or borders that work against an authentic spiritual awakening. Our outreach, therefore, is truly universal.
Our Vision
Hand in hand with the inner realization of Truth, we facilitate and promote the demonstration of Truth (innate wholeness and completeness) in the life experience of our students and friends. As we focus on individual and collective spiritual transformation and healing through contemplation or meditation, we help others experience their ascension into the higher dimensions of the Spirit and their transcendence over the human condition. We are actively pursuing our vision of a global spiritual awakening and the promise of humanity’s mystical illumination.

You are correct: We are colleagues, fellow travelers on the mystical path. It is always refreshing to meet another soul along the same path.
I reside in the San Francisco Bay Area where I teach and do spiritual mentoring. I noticed in your blog site that you do “life coaching.” That is wonderful! That makes us both mentors. I sense we have a number of things in common at the human level, in addition to the spiritual bond between us.
I am not familiar with Terry Patten; however, I am familiar with Ken Wilber and his work. Are you familiar with the collaboration work he did with Fr. Thomas Keating on evolving human consciousness? I examined the timeline of evolutionary human consciousness that resulted from their joint collaborative efforts. I was particularly interested in the milestones of the various phases of evolving human consciousness which they had plotted along the timeline. I made some projections along the timeline, the results of which amazed me and peaked my curiosity.
Eventually, the recent work of Carl Johan Calleman on the Mayan calendar confirmed my projections. Spiritual enlightenment for the human race could as well be just right around the corner.
